They educate, comfort, explain — and stay polite.
 Too polite for the world kids are actually growing up in.

They’re not dumb. And no matter how much adults try to sweeten everything, children sense the truths of the world anyway.
They can live with complexity, contradiction, and a little discomfort — sometimes better than most adults.

That doesn’t mean it’s their responsibility to manage reality, yet.


But it isn’t an adult’s responsibility to hide it either.
