Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies and similar technologies are small files or identifiers that may be stored on a user’s device when they visit a website. They may be used to enable the website to function, remember certain preferences, or perform measurement and analytics.

3. Necessary Cookies

Necessary cookies are used for technical or operational functions of the website and do not require consent when they are genuinely necessary to provide the requested service.

4. Google Analytics Analytics Cookies

NYLMYTH uses Google Analytics to obtain statistics about website usage. Google Analytics cookies are non-essential cookies and their activation is subject to the user’s consent where such consent is required.

Google Analytics is managed through Google Site Kit. NYLMYTH must keep the consent mechanism configured so that analytics tracking is not activated before the user has accepted the relevant category.

5. How Consent Is Obtained and Withdrawn

When non-essential cookies are used, the website must provide the user with a clear option to accept or reject them and allow the user to subsequently modify or withdraw their decision.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out previously on the basis of valid consent.

The specific configuration of the banner and technical blocking mechanism must remain aligned with the actual configuration of Google Site Kit and the consent management system installed in WordPress.

6. Recommended Google Analytics Configuration

  • Keep Google Analytics connected to Site Kit if analytics is to be retained.
  • Enable Consent Mode in Site Kit.
  • Use a consent management system compatible with the WP Consent API.
  • Configure the statistics/analytics category as not accepted by default.
  • Check in an incognito window that, before analytics is accepted, neither _ga nor _ga_* are created and that the visit is not recorded in real time in Google Analytics.
  • After accepting analytics, check that the cookies appear and that the visit can be recorded.

7. Updating the Cookie Inventory

The cookie inventory must be reviewed whenever plugins, analytics tools, third-party services, payment systems, embedded videos, advertising or other tracking technologies are installed, removed or modified.

It is recommended to repeat the scan after significant changes.

8. Reference Framework

The configuration is maintained taking into account the applicable legislation on cookies and data protection, including Article 22.2 of the LSSI, the GDPR and the AEPD’s Guide on the Use of Cookies.
